Custom Framing

We are a full service custom frame shop using the highest quality materials to enhance, revitalize and protect your art and sentimental treasures.

We use only wood or metal frames that come from the best names in the business including Larson Juhl, Vermont Hardwoods, Roma, Nielsen and Fotiou.  The only materials used in the framing of your pieces are of museum archival standards from the glazing to the backing paper.

Our main goal when custom framing your art and mementos is to do no harm.  We frame using materials and methods that preserve the pieces as they are today and prevent degradation from light and environmental factors.  Our standards are based on years of experience in the trade, continuing education, and from experts in art materials and art restoration.

Matting

We call her Matty and she is a Wizard 9000z Zero Waste mat cutter. She’ll cut just about anything. Squares and rectangles are old hat for this girl. Circles, ovals, no problem. Need a multiple opening collage? Shaped corners? Shaped opening? She can do it all and then some.

Frames

We only use the finest materials for our customers!

  • Hardwood mouldings from Vermont Hardwoods in Chester, VT

  • Closed corner frames from the Chester Frame Company in Madison, CT

  • Oval frames from InLine Ovals and Presto

  • Roma mouldings hand crafted in Italy

Sustainability

We care about the environment and our impact in everything we do.

All Larson Juhl mouldings and Artique matboards are FSC and PEFC certified to be from sustainably managed forests

We use FSC certified mouldings from Fotiou including their Jane Seymour Moulding Collection

We utilize Larson Juhl’s U.S. manufacturing facility in Wisconsin– a FSC Certified manufacturing facility.  All wood waste is sent to a power generating facility to be converted into fuel.  All saw dust is sent to local farms for animal bedding and mulch for fields.

” They are the best place I have found so far to frame my wife’s cross stitch and needle point original art works. After hundreds of hours on a piece I want it finished off with the level of care it deserves and they deliver.

Properly stretching textile artwork is a gift and they have a great eye for enhancing a piece with the proper frame and mat colors.

Absolutely beautiful workmanship!!”
